Heading up the Conferences and Events Team at NASUWT – The Teachers’ Union, Sammy has over 15 years of experience in the events industry, having previously worked in local government, charity and the Union sectors.

Leading a team of events professionals, Sammy manages the planning, execution, and evaluation of over 60 events annually from conferences, exhibitions, galas, seminars and festivals to name a few. Her expertise in delivering large-scale, complex and high-profile events for thousands of attendees, both in-person and online, is underpinned by a focus on sustainability, inclusivity, and wellbeing.

As an Executive Member of ABPCO, the UK association for professional conference and event organisers, she plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction, membership development, and representation of the industry.

Her passion for mentoring and educating the next generation of event professionals is manifested through her guest lectures, hosting internships, and recognition as Event Management Mentor of the Year. Sammy holds an MA in Events and Exhibitions and has been awarded multiple prestigious industry awards for her outstanding work in the events sector.
