Procurement Business Partner at Arqiva
Victoria has 22 years’ experience working in Hotels, Events and Procurement holding Senior positions and enjoying consistent promotions within the Marriott, MCI, BAE & Arqiva. This is Victoria’s third year as a mentor on the programme and she is thrilled to be invited back.
With a true passion for the events industry and steering best practice procurement, Victoria has achieved experience at each stage of the event industry supply chain cycle – hotel, agent, client alongside gaining the highest professional qualification within procurement through the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS).
Victoria’s current position at Arqiva as Procurement Business Partner within Arqiva. She has delivered speaker sessions with the BNC focussing on the importance to buyers during contract negotiations and the legal aspects.
Victoria has enjoyed many successes throughout her career, achieving CIPS Student of the year with results featuring in the top 10% of the UK; she was proud to be placed on the 2010 C&IT A List as well as being nominated for the 2013 Eventia Rising Star Award and sits on the CIPS South Coast Board where she manages the Social Media. Having gained achievements in heavily male dominated industries (Telecoms / Maritime) she understands that as a woman you need to work harder and be sharper to stand out from the crowd.
Over a two-year period, Victoria mentored and acted as an assessor within CIPS for two young ladies at Portsmouth City Council assisting them in achieving their level three qualification in procurement whilst growing their procurement skills and knowledge.
Victoria lives on the Southcoast and in her spare time enjoys beach walks, travel and has recently completed an Executive MBA at Cranfield University with a level 7 leadership qualification. Her next goal is a personal one which will be climbing the three peaks.
