FF15 presents University Challenge gives the next generation of event professionals the opportunity to put their creativity, knowledge and ambition to the test.
Working in teams, students are challenged to develop, plan and deliver their own live charity event, gaining invaluable industry experience while raising funds for Meeting Needs.
With support from experienced industry mentors, access to professional training and the opportunity to compete for exciting prizes, University Challenge is more than a competition. It’s a chance to build your confidence, expand your network and take your first steps into the events industry.

FF15 University Challenge is open to students currently enrolled on event management courses at universities across the UK.
Whether you’re bursting with creative ideas, passionate about bringing people together or looking to gain hands-on experience in the events industry, this is your opportunity to put your skills to the test.
To take part, you’ll need to:
- Form a team of 3–6 students from your university.
- Develop an event concept that raises funds for a cause supported by our charity partner, Meeting Needs.
- Plan and deliver your event between 1 March and 7 May 2027, supported by an experienced industry mentor.
- Submit a post-event report showcasing your team’s achievements, challenges and impact.
Each selected team will receive £150 in seed funding, alongside three mentoring sessions with a senior events industry professional to help bring their ideas to life.
Applications are open from 2 November 2026 until 19 February 2027.
